On the topic of “Mobility Management in Cities and Regions”, experts from all over Germany came together on the main campus of the Technical University of Munich on September 12 and 13, 2022 as part of the 11th German Conference of Mobility Management (DECOMM). DECOMM has already been held since 2011 as an event of the German Platform for Mobility Management e.V. (DEPOMM).
As part of the expert forum “Mobility management for children and young people: Improving the quality of stay through participation”, Dr. Christoph Mall and Jan Ellinger of our project partner Technical University of Munich presented the project “Kreuz & Quer”, one of 12 Experimental Scenarios within “Active City Innovation”. “Kreuz & Quer” aims at the promotion of physical activity in children and adolescents in their city district. The focus of showing “Kreuz & Quer” at DECOMM was on the presentation of initial results, but also the concrete derivations for measures in municipalities with reference to (active) mobility of children and adolescents. It seems to be of central importance to integrate the perspective of the target group early and deeply into corresponding interventions.
In addition to the expert forums, mobility-related associations, companies and initiatives were able to present themselves in a diverse exhibition. Keynotes and discussion rounds with representatives from society, business and politics rounded off the program of this year’s DECOMM.
